Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heavens and on earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
Some mornings when I am in Idaho, I feel awed as I listen to a strong wind in the tall pine trees. I imagine the Holy Spirit moving like the strength of a mighty wind.
How do I strive first for the kingdom of God? Everything is his. My assignment is to live my life putting God’s will before my own. For example, drop everything to listen to someone who needs to talk. Pray first, then act.
